Powertrain Warranty vs Bumper-to-Bumper

When you purchase a brand-new vehicle here at West Herr Dodge, you are provided with a couple of different warranties. These warranties protect your vehicle from a number of different issues that may be because of the manufacture process, or it might be from damage that has occurred to your vehicle at no fault to you. Two warranties included with most vehicles are the powertrain warranty and bumper to bumper. Let's take a closer look at the differences:

  • A powertrain warranty will cover parts of your vehicle that has to do with power. This may be the engine, transmission or drive shafts. Pretty much, anything that is under the hood will be included. This doesn't cover traditional wear and tear on things like spark plugs.
  • A bumper to bumper warranty is usually much shorter and it includes things like interior materials, paint, glass, etc.

If you are interested more in what is covered by these two warranties, stop down to West Herr Dodge today to find out more.
